If I were Club President Again Proposed 2011-12 Budget District Leadership Goals

The president-elect shall attend the district presidents-elect training seminar and the district assembly unless excused by the governor-elect. If so excused, the president-elect shall send a designated club representative who shall report back to the president-elect. If the president-elect does not attend the presidents-elect training seminar and the district assembly and has not been excused by the governor-elect or, if so excused, does not send a designated club representative to such meetings, the president-elect shall not be able to serve as club president. In such event, the current president shall continue to serve until a successor who has attended a presidents-elect training seminar and district assembly or training deemed sufficient by the governor-elect has been duly elected. -Standard Rotary Club Constitution – Article 10 Section 5(c) - 2007


Presidents-Elect Training Seminar (PETS) is a mandatory and vital training program for all Presidents-Elect for Rotary Clubs within a given district or group of districts (multi PETS). The purpose of the PETS is to provide club presidents with the necessary skills, knowledge, and motivation to lead an effective Rotary Club. This training takes place in all 162 countries of the Rotary world, currently every year during March.

Great Lakes Rotary PETS is a multi PETS that includes Districts 6290 - NW Michigan plus Wawa Ontario, 6310 - NE Michigan, 6360 - SW Michigan, 6380 - four SE Michigan counties and Lambton-Kent Co., Ontario, 6400 - SE Michigan, including. Wayne, Monroe, Lenawee Co. plus Essex Co. Ontario, and 6540 - Northern Indiana.
