The Rotary Club of Grosse Pointe Sunrise

The president of the Rotary Club of Grosse Pointe Sunrise for 2011-2012 is Jacquie Wetherholt. Jacquie is involved in healthcare fundraising for The Holley Institute – “our mission is to provide life-enhancing programs for Deaf and those with hearing and vision loss, to provide programs for Parents with Deaf children, to screen all infants for hearing loss and to provide outreach programs and services related to hearing loss for the community”. She has been a Rotarian for 23 years.  The Grosse Pointe Sunrise Club meets Tuesdays at 7:00am at The Hill Restaurant in Grosse Pointe Farms. They currently have approximately 27 members. This club is involved in projects locally and internationally. One of their projects involves presenting scholarships to students from several high schools in the area. They also have “Pre-teen Girls Program” which is housed in Peace Lutheran church. They support this program through stipends for the Directors, holiday food baskets and gifts. They have just helped them start a small library for the program. Their major fundraiser is the Grosse Pointe Run. It is generally held in mid-September and takes place on Lake Shore Drive along beautiful Lake St. Clair.  Need to do a make-up? Come on out to the Rotary Club of Grosse Pointe Sunrise
