Citizen of the Year
Ted Aller presents a plague recognition to Jill Ryan
Jill Ryan is the Grosse Ile 2011 Citizen of the Year. At a June 2 Grosse Ile Yacht Club dinner, hosted by the Grosse Ile Rotary Club, Jill Ryan was recognized as Citizen of the Year. She was Grand Marshall of the Island fest Parade on Saturday.
Jill has served Grosse Ile and the Downriver community in many ways,especially relating to the theater and musical arts. In 2004 the local chapter of the AAUW awarded her "Woman of the year". In 2010 she received a "Salute to Excellence" from the Downriver Council of the Arts.
