The President of The Rotary Club of Blissfield for 2011-2012 is Kevin Shoemaker. Kevin has been a member since 2003, previously serving as Treasurer and Vice President. He founded and owns Shoemaker Heating and Plumbing INC. since 1993.
The Blissfield Club meets at the Stable Restaurant in Blissfield on Wednesday at 11:45am. This club is involved with both international and community projects. Last year they sent a much needed fire truck to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Locally, they provided an ice rink in their community park. Annually they host a community Halloween Party including a bon fire, 1000 hotdogs, 50 gallon of apple cider, costume contest and more. Their annual Spring Rotary Auction includes local TV anchor Jerry Anderson as guest auctioneer. This event features silent as well as live auction items along with raffles and other games to fill the evening. Need to do a make-up? Come on out to the Rotary

Holiday Basic Needs Project
Our Basic Needs Project has the Blissfield Rotary Club teamed up with the local Knights of Columbus to give out 110 food and basic needs baskets.
The Knights take care of the food and we do "Basic Needs" items.
The Items that were in the bags that we put together are as follows:
1 - Toilet Paper 1 - Facial Tissue 2 - Laundry Detergent Boxes
1 - Comet Cleaner 1 - Lemon Floor Cleaner 1 - Dish Soap
1 - Tylenol Bottle 1 - Motrin Bottle 1 - Aspirin Bottle 2 - Shampoos
1 - Lip Balm1 - Band-aids (pack) 2 - Cough Drops Boxes
1 - Peroxide Bottle 1 - Pepto Bismol Bottle 1 - Night Time Cold Medicine
1 - Antibiotic Cream Tube
Plus a few other items. We also put a book in each bag for children to read.
This is the 3rd year we have done this project. The baskets are all keep right here in lenawee county and range from Blissfield to Deerfield, MI. Along with the 110 Basic Needs baskets we also put together 10 baby baskets that include:
Diapers Baby Wipes Baby Medicine Baby Shampoo
and much more.
