Adrian Morning Club Mid-Year Review
Club Community Projects:
Built a handicapped ramp; conducted a clothing drive to provide clients at local shelters with appropriate clothing for job interviews; worked at the Teddy Bear Express
(community youth literacy program); supported Dundee Club with a donation to replace trees lost to the tornado; supported Thanksgiving Food Basket drives with Adrian and Madison schools; moved the Boys & Girls Club into their new facility and provided $5,000 to help fund the new facility; sponsored a Happy Hour to support Pajama Rama event for education of homeless children; participated in clothing collection for Keep Lenawee Warm project.
Fundraising Projects: Sold Christmas wreathes to benefit Boys & Girls Club; upcoming Celebrity Wait, Saturday, March 19th at the Lenawee Country Club.
International Projects: Contributed to the Blissfield Rotary Fire Truck project in Puerto Vallarta,Mexico; contributed to Nicaragua Layette project; supported the District Governor’s Golf Outing and Rotary Foundation; will be providing continuing support to PACE Universal; share an exchange student with the Adrian Noon Club.
Membership: Started the year with 21 members, lost one and gained two. We have an application pending for another new member that we expect to induct in January. That will bring us a net gain of two thus far for the year.
Foundation Goal: We should reach our goal of $5,000.
Members registered for District Conference: 6 members plus 5 spouses.
