Lincoln Park Rotary Club - Family Fun Night
Once again the Lincoln Park Rotary Club presented the 14th Annual Family Fun Night at the Lincoln Park High School Cafeteria! It is a family event that focuses on fun games and activities for pre-school to third grade children.
There are many organizations that volunteer their time and talents. Building Community Partnerships, Citizens Patrol Watch , JROTC, Lincoln Park Exchange Club, National Honor Society, LPHS Interact Club, Response To Intervention, The Guidance Center Head Start Program, Resource Center , SUDDS - Students Against Underage Drinking, Trinity Transportation provided all the food and candy. Face painting by Curlie's Face Art. Chapatwala Family McDonald's providing the beverage and Ronald McDonald. Special displays sponsored by Lincoln Park Police Departments and CSX Transportation.
Also, the Lincoln Park School's let us use the cafeteria and maintenance crew for free. They set everything up, take down and clean up after we leave. How awesome is that. In the kitchen Mark Rodriguez, Director of Food Service, Karen Donahue, L.P.'s Schools CFO, Karen Dale, Kitchen manager, Kathy Botham, current Local 849 member, and Chris Filimon, former Local 849, has volunteered every year for the past 14 years we've had a FFN. Chris is retired.
The Junior ROTC, National Honor Society and Interacters provided most of the volunteers that ran the game events. The Lincoln Park Rotarians provided free hot dogs, chips and drink.
This is an event that any Rotary Club can do for their community!!!!
