Trenton Rotary Club - Roar on the River 2009

The Trenton Rotary Club had a successful weekend at the National City Roar on the River this past weekend. Accidents marred the first day of races as 19 anxious drivers vied for the the World Championship. As the wind shifted to a more westerly position on Sunday, the races ran more like clockwork. This is the first batch of pictures from the races. The Roar on the River, the Roar in the Park, the Roar Stock Music Festival and the Taste of the Races events all went fine and the team believes they will be around break even for our largest community event of the year. Congratulations to President Brad O'Conner for a successful event. It is estimated that 15,000 people came out on Saturday and Sunday to view the races. The events were featured on WXYZ-TV, Channel 7.1
