Rotary Youth Leadership Awards - 2008

District Governor Bruce Goldsen said the following: My hearty thanks and congratulations to all for your help and hard work in making this yet another phenomenal experience for the RYLA attendees - and in particular to Michael for his enthusiasm, boundless energy and ability to relate to and bring out the best in the future adult leaders.

This very practical leadership course at Schoolcraft College featured Laura Whichello with very engaging ice breaker team games Thursday night. Michael Angelo Caruso spent a tremendous amount of thought and energy to lead the participants through many aspects of leadership for 13 hours on Friday and Saturday. PDG Jennifer Jones led a presentation on Effective Meetings and Fund Raising Development.  Mary and AG Mark Murray lead a super enthusiastic presentation on Fun and Energy Meetings with more Ice-breaking Games.

Kris Moe was the terrific Registrar and Treasurer, Mary and Pat Kehoe supplied the Tee Shirts and helped out on Saturday.  Colleen and Trey Greene transported 11 Detroit Students and helped out on Friday.  Mike Cutler took tons of great photographs. Carlo Abati and Annie Charlton help get the Canadian Students to RYLA. Claude Curry arranged home stays for the students who lived in Essex and Lenawee Counties.

We will get ready for RYLA 2009 on November 12 -14. RYLA 2010 on November 4 - 6
