Grosse Pointe Installation Luncheon The Grosse Pointe Rotary Club held it's Annual Installation Luncheon at the PG War Memorial on June 30th. Kim Towar made special posters of some of the activities and events during Mark's year. Outgoing Club President Mark Brooks started the meeting. After two toasts, all the Past Presidents came forward to see a song in honor of a Rotarians who recently died. Following a buffet luncheon, President Mark recognized several Rotarians for their outstanding service. Amy Gennaro received the Frank Sladen "Visionary" Award. Rookies of the year - John Kronner and Mike Carmod. Rotarian of the Year - Paul Rentenbach. Paul Harris Fellows 1st Lady Barb Asmus, Amy Gennaro (multiple) and Anthony & Sarah Gennaro. President Mark thanks and congratulated all the Grosse Pointe Rotarians for their service and Rotary committment. Then PDG Jim Karolyi had the honor to induct the 2008-09 Board and President Marv Asmus. The meeting concluded with him summarizing a few important initiatives - Public Relations, Membership, TRF Foundation Contributions.
