Youth Exchange - Whalers Hockey Our District 6400 Youth Exchange Students had a blast at the Plymouth Whalers Game. They got to tour the facilities, meet some players and ask them questions, had a pizza party with the Plymouth High Schools Interact Students and two of our new outbound students. Students were then taught the simple rules and penalties of the game, demonstrated on Yanik from Switzerland and then saw a hockey game between the Plymouth Whalers and the London Knights of the OHL. The game ended in a 4-4 draw as London tied the score with 4 Seconds remaining. The game was settled on a Slap Shot Shootout, which saw the Whalers getting the two points for the win. The pictures below detail our student's activities Our students are getting into the groove and really hitting their marks. The students and the Rotary 6400 Youth Exchange Committee would like to thank the Plymouth, Plymouth AM and Livonia Clubs for sponsoring the event and getting involved with Youth Exchange. If your club would like to get involved and co-sponsor an event, contact Diane Ives for more information. Our next event is our Annual Holiday Party in Taylor. Thanks to the many host parents, YEC's, YEO's and committee members who drove or dropped off students for the event.
