Trenton Rotary Club - Installation On Wednesday June 11th, the Trenton Rotary Club installed its 72nd President, Joe Hoshaw at the Crystal Gardens Banquet Center in Southgate, MI. Wes Mator, the 71th President and winner of the District 6400 Dick Hedke Award, recapped the past year, while recognizing the accomplishments of many Rotarians of the club. We continue to look toward the future and what more we can do for our community and our world. Bill Jasman gave a presentation about the year in review, which was presented to Wes Mator. Many Rotarians were acknowledged for their perfect attendance with the standard of 47 years of perfect attendance set by Chuck Howey. Attendance awards were handed out by ADG Jim Wagner, Nick Mans and Chuck Howey. Many Paul Harris Recognition's were given out by PDG Dave Carpenter, but two surprise ones awarded were to Linda Francetevich, the Trenton Rotary Web mistress. The other went to Exchange Student Daniel Pena, whose mother was there to to see the award. Claudia Gotelli has been visiting for the last week and attend her third Rotary activity during her visit. She and the Trenton Rotary are very proud of Daniel's accomplishments. DGN Neil McBeth officially inducted the 2008-09 Trenton Rotary Club Board and then President Joe Hoshaw. Joe said a few words of thanks to Wes and his board. Then he outlined some of the highlights that will be accomplished in 2008-09. The meeting concluded by PDG Jim Karolyi giving Ryan Thompson his 2007 RYLA Certificate and then inducted him as the Trenton High School Interact President for 2008-09! |
