Taylor Rotary - State of the City of Taylor

The Taylor Rotary Club hosted the 2008 State of the City Luncheon at the Lakes of Taylor Golf Club. Over 200 people from the Taylor Government, other local governments, Taylor Board of Education, Wayne County Community College, many business leaders and Taylor Rotarians were in attendance. Taylor Rotary Club President Phil Matous convened the meeting. After a blessing and great meal, PDG Larry Wright introduced the Mayor of Taylor, Michigan, The Honorable Cameron Priebe.

Mayor Priebe outlined the recent past fiscal history and the future vision of the City of Taylor. He talked about having Wonderful Neighborhoods, Outstanding Parks, State-of-the-art city equipment, Well-trained City Workforce delivering the best customer service, Fiscally prudent Management, Attract Businesses that create jobs - particularly in industrial parks, Solve social problems in Southwest Taylor and throughout the city.

After the Mayor's presentation, he was declared as a Honorary Rotarian. Also, Kurt Sebaly was honored with a Paul Harris Fellowship for his service as the President of the Penrickton Center for Blind Children.
