Taylor Putt Putt Event - 2008

The Taylor Rotary Club held its 7th annual Indoor Putt Putt Golf Classic Event. It was held at the Taylor Meadows Golf Club. The 18 hold course was set up and Sock - Hop 50s Theme decorated the room. Betty Sutyak and Sarah Wright lend their creative expertise with all the decorations. The major sponsors were displayed as well.

Warm hors'derves and open bar were available for the golfers to get energy for the grueling golf adventure. Everyone was entertained by the talented and energetic Taylor Dancers.

Most of the proceeds were to go to the Fish and Loaves Food Bank in Taylor Michigan. Pastor Jeff Druches spoke about the tremendous need for a continuing food supply for many needy people in the Downriver Area.

The easy golf rules were explained. Then everyone had a fun time trying to PUTT PUTT their best during the first round of golf. There were young and not so young players trying to get their ball into the hole while avoiding obstacles and sand traps. The lowest 18 score golfers then golfed for the championship. Chris Janke was the top golfer. Three golfers then had to go into fast elimination for 2nd, 3rd and 4th place finish.
