The Third Annual Piper's Holiday Concert Presented by National City Banks and featuring Alexander Zonjic and Friends was held on Saturday, December 1st. Organized by Rotarians from District 6400 and Alexander Zonjic in just 3 1/2 weeks, the concert was also sponsored the News-Herald Newspapers, and the Rotary Clubs of Taylor, Trenton, Detroit, Dearborn, Wyandotte and many Rotarians as well as the Lion's Clubs of Taylor, Sterling Heights, and Shelby Township.
Rotary
District 6400 thanks Alexander and his friends, as well as Fox 2 News, who supplied Allen Lee, who emcee'd the event and Rhonda Walker of Local 4 who also did a news feature about the concert and the Penrickton Center. Alexander brought in his own band, percussionist Lorenzo Brown and Vocalist Maysa, who flew in from Baltimore to help in the efforts to help multiply handicapped blind children. Alexander was also joined by Barb Ogar and her Flute Choir for a magnificent 3 hour show, slightly delayed by the weather. Alexander also announced that he is interested in a 4th annual show next year to help children. Good News Indeed. Another good day to be a Rotarian.
If you didn't attend, you can help by sending an individual donation to the Penrickton Center for Blind Children, 26530 Eureka Road, Taylor, MI 48180. They are a 501c3, totally privately supported.
