Honduras Projects - 2007/08

Plymouth Noon Rotarian Tom Kennedy has planned "Hearts and Hands fro Honduras Projects" in 2007 and 2008! The photos highlight one recent project and one future project. The completely refurbish AMBULANCE was donated by the DEFIANCE Ohio Rotary Club and other Ohio Rotary Clubs and sent by Rotary Clubs in District 6400. On July 27, 2007, Rotarian Tom Kennedy to SAnta Rosa de Copan in the Honduras mountains, the poorest region in Honduras.This is the first ambulance that will be used by the only city hospital.

One of the next projects is to rebuild and refurbish a elementary school in the poor neighborhood of Zapotal in the city of San Pedro Sula. The broken down school school has grades one through six and has 600 students, with 7 AM and 1 PM shifts. 400 families asked local Rotary (Valle de Sula) to help repair this school. December 1 to 9, 2007, District 6400 team will do this project with the help of local Rotarians and many parents.
