Huron Township - Veterans Memorial Ceremony The New Boston Community celebrated the new Veteran's Memorial that was spearheaded by the Huron Township Rotary Club. Senior Congressman John Dingel was the keynote presenter. There were other veterans of past wars and conflict in attendance. A military color guard was a vital part of the ceremony. The dedication took place on the anniversary of the United States Marine Corps. Positioned on a familiar corner in downtown New Boston, the Veteran's Memorial Monument was redesigned, installed and rededicated to those who have given their time and their lives for our country. We paused to remember, reflect and respect those who have gone before us, honoring our country with their service, on Saturday, November 10th at noon. Major contributors include Huron Sportsmans Association, Renton Junior High Staff & Students, Republic Services, Waste Management, Chapp & Bushey, Jerry and Linda Burke's Family, American Legion Post 231 and Apple Charlie. WE ALSO RECOGNIZE THE LEADERSHIP OF MS. KELLY DWYER AND R.P. LILLY ON THIS PROJECT! From the Huron Township Rotarians, each considers this a privilege and honor to work on this project for our community. |
