Taylor Rotary - Support Our Troops Rotarian Phil Matous again was the chairman of this fun event that was for a serious cause - Support the Families of active duty National Guard Troops in Iraq. The Taylor Community recognized the importance of this very needy cause. A special thank you to Lincoln Park, Southgate and Wyandotte Rotarians for their support. Many corporations were majors sponsors plus many people were hole sponsors. This event enjoyed the entertainment of the Taylor Dancers. Colonel Michael Nevin, commander of the 177th MP Brigade and his wife Lynn. were on hand for this event. He will be in Iraq this spring with 6000 military under his command. At the same time, PDF Larry Wright video taped this event for presentation at the next District Conference. This was a fun event for all who attend. We urge all Rotary Clubs in their own way to support the families of active duty National Guard US Troops and Canadian Forces in Afghanistan and Iraq. |
